A professional who has the ability to spot a forged or authentic document based on an individual's signature and / or handwriting. This expert is also skilled in altered documents, forgery detection, and often paper and ink analysis.
This person is does not opine on an author's personality traits in any form. He often testifies in court and earns in excess of $1200 per day for testimony.
