FEATURE STORY:
How do I pull my life out of a nosedive?
Written by Michelle Dresbold

Greetings Michelle,
I’ve read your articles in a local publication and remain
intrigued by your insights.
My brother and I recently lost our mom and dad. As a result, I have
been distracted, forgetful, unambitious…. just not myself. Does
my handwriting reflect these listless feelings and lack of direction? Does
it point to anything inherent in my character or personality to pulling
out of this nosedive and flying higher?
Thank you,
Scot from Lexington, Kentucky

Backward “t” crossings, called “whip strokes,”
are common in the scripts of writers who are hard on themselves.
Dear Scot,
Let’s look at your handwriting to see how we can create an
updraft and get you flying on a higher plain.
The English language is written from left to right. The left side of the
page represents where we came from (our past), while the right side
of the page represents where we’re going (our future).
Notice
that when you write a “t” at the end of a word, you
whip your hand back from right to left to form your crossbar. Now,
you may think this is efficient because you didn’t lift the pen to
cross your “t.” But where did you end up? You wound
up on the left side of the stem…moving in the wrong direction.
This backward stroke, called “the whip stroke,” occurs
in the scripts of writers who are constantly second-guessing themselves.
The personal pronoun “I” represents how you feel about
yourself. A big “I” shows that you feel confident and sure
about yourself. A small “I” shows that you feel small and
put yourself down. Do you see that your personal pronoun “I”
is not much bigger than your lower case letters?
Knock that little whipping boy off your shoulder. You know the one. The
one who keeps saying, “You should have, would have, could have.”
You’ve been through some turbulence, for sure. So it may take some
time for you to build up your confidence and soar again. Show yourself and
the world that you have confidence in yourself by making your personal pronoun
“I” big and strong.
And remember to make your t-bar crossings from left to right.
Think “full throttle, forward!” and remember what they say in
flight school, “It’s always a good idea to keep the pointy
end going forward as much as possible.”

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS:
When you attend the conference in June, you will learn
(among other things) about the power of Grapho-Therapy to change your life. Here is what a few of our students had to say about the
impact Grapho-Therapy has had on their lives:
"In less than a month after changing my handwriting the
way Bart suggested, things started to happen. I got rid
of an abusive boyfriend, got better grades, and met my
fiance. That was six years ago. The changes have helped
me accomplish two degrees and a wonderful relationship.
As a bonus, it was easy."...Christian Chrane, Dallas, TX
"I took your handwriting seminar ...and I'm pleased to
report that due to either doing the ely exercise or a
change in outlook or both, my l's and e's have become
at least moderately loopy and I am a bit more open to
people or open-minded. Thank you very much."
...Karen N.
"I have already seen and experienced wonderful changes
through grapho-therapy. People at work now seek me
out as an expert in my field, and I have have many recent
offers to manage important projects. All this happened in
about a month from first raising my t-bar!"
