Here is Bart’s analysis:
There is a indicator of aggressiveness in one of the loops. Loss of life, loss of two children without parents, and loss of a future of a very smart young man with jealousy and confusion that destroyed his life, that apparently, even with CAS in the picture, could not or did not, take the precautions to avoid this tragedy.
The first thing that comes to mind when looking at his handwriting is
the shakiness and poor line quality throughout the handwriting.
Shakiness and poor line quality usually indicates the degradation of
synaptic pathways in the brain due to alcohol or drug usage. There is
sometimes degradation in the brain due to lack of intelligence or
muddled thinking. If I were consulting on this case with the police I
would investigate the possible usage of drugs or alcohol in
association with this crime. There is one trait which seems to be
prevalent in Nathan’s handwriting which is also consistent with other
known murderers. This trait is called resentment and anger. Although
Nathan is simply accused of the crime we’re not saying that because
one has anger and resentment he is a murderer.
What I’m saying is the correlation between anger, resentment and
jealousy and strong impulsive emotions combined with pride, vanity and
defiance all create a personality cocktail of volatility. There is
also a lack of trust exhibited in three of the lower **** loops.
There is a indicator of aggressiveness in one of the loops. There is
an excessive desire for attention and there is some sarcasm and close
minded relating to ideas, philosophies, perhaps religion.
Overall this man is not emotionally balanced. He’s not mature. He
is reactive to external circumstances and he has lots of unresolved
anger. This combination makes me put him at the center of the
investigation just on personality typology alone.

….. this young man was known to me. He was on drugs, but not the kind that most would judge on. He may NOT have been on his drugs when this horrific issue occurred. Nathan was a schizophrenic. Why he needs help while in prison. Our prison system in Canada holds many who have mental illnesses because we have no room to house them in places where they should have belonged from the onset of the notice of their challenge.
Sadly because our system is known to fail, this caused many issues. Loss of life, loss of two children without parents, and loss of a future of a very smart young man with jealousy and confusion that destroyed his life, that apparently, even with CAS in the picture, could not or did not, take the precautions to avoid this tragedy. I do hope they stand by the appeal for help while he serves his life sentence. But will they?
