16 Years old and Pregnant? Her Handwriting Analysis

Have you seen this crazy TV show called 16 and Pregnant?

Well, I’d never heard of it… but it seems to be a great source of birth control for the teenagers in my house.

One of the reporters from a major gossip magazine sent me one of the recent “Moms” of the show and asked my opinion.

I was a bit brutal… but honest.

What do you think?  Should this young lady be raising a child?

Your comments are most welcome and we always them!

Bart’s Analysis of Amber Portwood:

The most obvious element of her handwriting which jumps off the page is the lack of fluent letters and poor line quality.  This usually indicates someone that has muddled poor analytical skills, low intelligence, or an excessive use of recreational drugs.  The middle zone is very large which indicates an incredibly social nature which has the yearning to be around other people.  If this is in a teenager, you could say this person “loves to party”.

There are a few outstanding traits that are by any measure, negative.  Those traits are as follows:

  • Resentment and anger at the past.
  • Unresolved sexual issues resulting in a need for revenge and outward outbursts of anger towards those in her present environment even if those people aren’t the actual cause of the situation.  This is an angry unfocused young lady that has poor thinking skills and is dead set on revenge, having fun, and serving herself first.
  • There is not a high degree of empathy and there is not a high degree of social grace, maturity, or analytical thinking.  Her Ys indicate a need to be alone, maybe a loner quality or a lack of trust probably based on some past hurts or past trauma when she was younger.
  • The Ds indicate that she has a lack of deep concern about what other people think of her so she basically is independent in her thought processes, independent in her clothing choices, and generally independent in her decision-making process.  She probably feels independent thinking is an asset and a strength but in some cases it can be a disconnect between society and herself.
  • She has a slightly larger K than normal, this is often called the “Go to Hell K” which indicates defiance.
  • The lack of loops in the Hs indicate a lack of spirituality and perhaps even resentment at organized religion.
  • Finally, the most prevailing trait outside of her self-centered, in the moment, immature nature, is her tendency to be defensive and pushy.  The T bar crossed in the middle zone down to the right indicates a low self-esteem which usually has a defensive reactionary result from any criticism.  Sometimes people with low self-esteem justify their behavior because they need to feel right even when they know they’re wrong and then the downward T bar indicates a pushy, bossy nature.  This can lead to sarcasm, outwardly critical behavior, and generally a bitchy persona.

On a personal note, although I’ve never watched this show, this handwriting seems to be the perfect reason why 16 year olds should not have children.  This woman could barely raise herself much less a child.

  1. She has Variable slant to her writing showing Dual Personality.
She also shows that she has diplomacy ( she can say negative things in a way that others can receive them), self conciousness ( a fear of ridicule), and she isn’t being realistic about her goals, as they are out of reach for her.

I fully agree with Bart in all he said. Her thinking is unfocussed, and she has a lot of anger and resentment. Resentment is a precurser to violence-and she also has a temper.

This poor girl needs some qualified intervention and guidance in order to turn her life around. I’d love to see Bart’s recomendations for Graphotherapy. As a Teenager, her brain is still growing, and developing. It might do her a lot of good.

  2. It’d be great for rookies like me to have more observation explanation written in the article. I would very much appreciate what observation leads to you thinking that the subject is, for example, had unresolved sexual issues.

p.s. this is my first time leaving a message here and I want to say that I enjoy reading your weekly newsletters. I am learning a lot. Thanks.
