This month’s “Handwriting Analysis Interview” has arrived. As part of the in-depth learning techniques taught by the Founder of Handwriting University: Bart Baggett. You need some prior knowledge of the Primary Traits in graphology to really get the full benefit of these interviews, but do the best you can whether you are a beginner or ten-year veteran analyst.
Today’s handwriting sample is of Candace Cain, and this is the world premiere of this interview, as we did not show it at the Annual Conference… we held this one back for our Member’s Only Viewers. This is a challenging handwriting sample with some challenging questions.
First, you must analyze the handwriting and do your best to answer the questions based on your skill level of handwriting analysis. If you own the Level 101 and 301 courses from Handwriting University, you will be able to get most of these questions correct, but for some, you might be forced to make an educated guess. Some of the questions are odd, and not all the questions can be answered through handwriting analysis… but hey, why not ask anyway? Just for fun.
Below are her known handwriting samples. We asked her to write in both cursive and printing… but they seem pretty alike to me.
Click on the image to see the full-size, higher-resolution sample in your computer browser or RIGHT CLICK to download and print out on paper.
Scroll down to answer the questions and do NOT watch the video interview until you have exhausted all your handwriting knowledge in giving a proper personality profile. Then, leave your comments below at the BLOG, so others can agree or disagree. Finaly, come back to this site tomorrow to view the two-part video interview hosted by Bart Baggett.

1. & 2 Roadblocks & Success- I don’t see roadblocks. Candace’s writing has the overall “look” of a woman who is outgoing, organized, flamboyant ( embellishments) and on the road to wherever she is planning to go. Her thoughts are both connected and intuitive, cumulative and comprehensive. High T bars – Large Capital letters – Tenacity (anchored t & d stems) – Strong capital I – Can keep confidences (closed, looped o )
3. Closet? Organized
4 & 7. My intuition tells me she works as a Dominatrix / Madam , etc. Why? The flamboyant lower zone in her signature screams kinky sex – Up-turned “look at me” finals – Closed, “I can deceive you because I can deceive myself (actress) “ o’s. The long tails into the lower zone on letters that don’t traditionally have tails says I’m going to make money my own way.
5. Whatever her past, she isn’t living in it (slant). The up-turned over-the-top finals might indicate a certain self-protective inclination perhaps by investing her profits in ways that will pay off big.
This woman doesn’t miss a thing – every t is crossed and all I’s dotted. All the punctuation marks are there, even to the comma after sincerely in her signature.

1. roadblocks to happiness are her sense of guilt, and her lack of imagination. She punishes herself regularly, likely from some sense of guilt. She prefers her own company. She has selective hearing. She lacks a level of physical drive. She could be very happy if she was a computer data entry person. If happiness is considered what “most” of us consider happy, she likely is not the happiest person in the world. Under some circumstances, she could be happy as a pig in muck.
2. success traits:
~does not bother much with criticism, can withstand a comment on her personal self or her thinking (t and d have no loops).
~well balanced f, good organization
~can keep a secret
~intuitive thinking
3. closet: organized well, writing is neat, well balanced, lines do not interfere with each other, words are well spaced. Her writing has some odd characteristics that take extra time to make, indicating a special effort to be different and independent but in a conformist way. I cannot see this person living with a mess but perhaps has one aspect of her closet a disaster. Perhaps her shoes are all piled into one big messy box, something like that.
4. relationships with men:
~ not great, she is a loner, lives with a lot of guilt, unfinished business and low physical drive.
5. how her past reflects on her life:
~ she lives with guilt and self admonishment
~ she is very set in her philosophical or religious thinking and has no room for change. She is stuck with whatever her past made her into (unless she chooses to change it, which would take some work).
6. role of religion:
~ was raised with guilt ridden religion, based on penalty system rather than nurture.
~ has religion or belief based on narrow thinking with little room for independence or creativity.
7. good profession for her:
~any career with job description well set up and monitored and structured rules.
~could work well alone in a cubicle
~likely would work better with people but in isolated space of her own, because she needs some encouragement to go on, but not a lot of interference. She requires guidance.
8. unusual sexual experiences or hobbies?
~whatever she does, or likely DOESN’T do, she feels wrong about it. She carries a lot of guilt. She is not very physical and quite a loner. My sense is she enjoys suffering more than pleasure. The question would be, does the suffering make her happy, because some people like to suffer. I think in her case she is not happy with it. I don’t sense great maturity from this person.
9. primary emotions?
~ anger, fear, guilt

Candence has a very interesting and stylized writing. She enjoys being the center of attention. She starts out reaching towards people, as seen by the ending of her midzone letters but at the last minute the reaching out becomes reaching up and back at herself. This could be a fear trait. I don’t know if this could be a case of being too generous, spending too much, not wanting to let go of things and people, a collector, a desire of knowledge and need for attention or a combination of all of the above.
I feel Candence is carrying a lot guilt from the past that doesn’t belong to her. She shows disappointment in men in her PPI and combined with the guilt I would suspect some kind of abuse. I have often observed the felcon’s claw in children of alcoholics too. I sense some self denial in the handwriting and would expect the writer to deny some things. It’s possible to have had alcoholic parents and never been aware of it because you knew nothing else.
She is experimental in the sexual area but I feel she is still unsatisfied. Her overwhelming feelings of guilt leave her feeling unworthy and propel her to sabotage her relationships leading to the punishment she feels she deserves. Candence has difficulty in keeping relationships or even allowing them. This also contributes to her low self esteem which also effects her ablity to set high goals and reach them. Addressing her guilt issues would improve her life in most areas of her life.
Candence has tangling of the middle and lower zones, this indicates that she has too many irons in the fire at one time. This can contribute to muddled thinking and a general disorganization at times. The stick lower zones shows a comfort at being a lone as opposed to feeling lonely as well as demonstating the trait of determination. Some of her midzone letters extend into the lower zone when they shouldn’t looking like a stubborn foot that refuses to move. I wonder if making a decision of moving forward is problematic for her. This may be a trait that protects her from being too implusive. Her t bars reveal that she is lacking in follow through. She starts strong but wanes before the finish line sometimes, fearing failure.
She has hooks and curves thoughout the handwriting. She shows a desire to aquire material things and may be a collector. The endings of her middle zone appear to reach toward people but at the last minute extend up into the upper zone. She may be too generous, spending too much or may at the last minute pull back instead of giving. She may have difficulty letting go of people and things and may have a desire to learn new things. She likes getting attention and could be good at minicing other people as seen by the lead in stroke of the capital H. All of the curvy lines in her writing making me curious as to whether she might enjoy dancing.
I see her as a person who would process things best when presented in an orderly manner but her printed sample shows more variety in her thinking patterns telling me when she deems something to be important she is able to use all thinking processes.
Her e’s are closed with the excepting of one cultural e. I suspect she’s been verbally abused and has learned to have a deaf ear as a coping technique. This helps in one area but could cause her to block out postive things as well. The cultural e would indicate a person who enjoys reading and appreciates beauty. There was a large worry loop on the captial e. When a person worries it expends a lot energy leading to mental and or physical fatique.
The capital C’s in her signature are strange, almost hesitant as if she’s not sure who she really is as a person. When I look at the overall picture of Candence’s writing I sense contradictions, a person who wants to be one way but can’t allow herself to truly be herself. She has a lot of negative aspects in her writing but I feel a sense of sadness for her.
I just reread the writing sample and wonder if anybody noted that the most felon claw formations occured on the word sincerely in the cursive sample and throughout in the printed sample – this makes me curious as to whether she is mainly a printer.
Very interesting sample.

Candace’s biggest roadblock to happiness is her fears: fear of making a mistake; fear of looking foolish/ridiculed; fear of authenticity;and of course the inability to listen to others! being closed mined! She is also afraid or not ready for sexual relationships…she has not established herself in relation to her sexuality issues. This may cause her a lot of frustration.
She is a practical goal setter…needing to see the end before she starts a project. She has to have everything in order before she proceeds. She wants to be organized and does her best to be so.
Her relationship with her father has not been good. She is a loner. But I believe she would like to have a relationship but is unsure of herself.
There are secrets and times in her life where she feels that it is safer to keep the whole truth to herself that to tell it. She does talk. She does so to get attention. She is a generous person, especially to herself. She is also very determined.
Her religious belief are firmly in place. It will be difficult to change her mind about what she believe because she is a selective listener and closed mined. She keeps things to herself. But she does have some defiance and temper and a little procrastination….hmmm ….you never know how that will develop over time if not brought under control.
She maybe experimenting with her sexual part of her…she is frustrated and unsure of this part of her…maybe she is still young and has not matured in this area of her life as of yet. She doesn’t feel she needs anyone at this time in her life…she feels she can make it on her own. She is very self-sufficient. That doesn’t mean she’s not interested in men…she just cautious
Sadness and fear are her primary emotions.
She’s able to put herself in others shoes…She’s outgoing and friendly and shows affection. She’s expressive, yet logical and is subject to appeals of the heart. She is moderately moody. likely to jump to conclusions. She makes conservative and moderate lifestyle choices. Gets along well with extroverts and introverts. Socially, emotionally and politically moderate. She susceptible to heart-rending sales pitches. Does not go overboard with empathy.
Candace is just starting out in her career. It will have to something that will bring satisfaction to her need for attention and a little daring so she can break a few rules as she develops her role. What ever it is she will be determined and not afraid to be alone to tackle the job….I’d think she would have to have the autonomy to do the job the way she wants too. She’s not afraid to be doing to many things at once. She has to make a splash!….maybe she’s a wedding planner! or event organizer or something!

I don’t know whether I had to much food for New Year’s Eve or what but I don’t feel very good at the moment so am going to make a quick over all observation according to the questions asked, hopefully tomorrow I’ll feel good enough to listen to the conversation with Bart.
This gal has an interesting handwriting for sure.
One of Candace’s roadblocks to happiness is her closed e’s meaning she isn’t open to the ideas of others and with the straight strokes is a loner to a degree. this can’t make her very happy. She has a number of felon’s claws and ending strokes on many words that almost cover the last letters, some sort of self protection in a rather big way. Perhaps because she had been incarcerated for something? shoplifting? maybe as she has some hooks meaning the need to acquire things.
I think her closet may be pretty neat but because a few of her lines entangle there may be some times when in a hurry she let’s the closet go (too many things too do at one time)? Also the go to heck buckled K, defiant.
It looks as if she might be better at some sort of artistic endeavor for work.
Deceitful, underhanded because of the o’s in the word zoo.
Now I’m feeling a bit nauseated so gotta go but Happy New Year everyone. May you be blessed.

I did the questions before watching the video. I had fun doing that.
About question #7 regarding what kind of profession she would excel in… I did not
get computer engineer.
I see she has cumulative m,n and also has desire for attention with high ending strokes. My guess was that she would make a front office reception that has to be outgoing and centre of attention; in a fashionable.setting.
I would love to understand more on how Candace’s writing shows engineer.. I know that if cumulative m,n, are written large it could just be that the person is friendly. In this case she is an engineer. so this was a surprise. Can someone more experienced please explain this. Thanks.

This person: 1) Lacks trust in others and their defence strategy is self-preservation. In the cursive writing there are no “y” loops, but there are plenty of flouncy backward pointing curves. She’d be happiest curled up in a foetal position. 2.) There are letters that wouldn’t normally go beneath the beneath the baseline, e.g. the h and m – a determined person. The mid & lower zones are quite prominent – this is a practical survivalist. 3.) Given the uniform character of the writing, and the neat dots on her i’s, I’d guess her wardrobe was very organised. 4.) The y’s and g’s in the printed text have odd-looking descenders – that to me suggests quite a manipulative personality. She probably wraps men round her little finger – but given the self-preservation qualities, it wouldn’t necessarily be because she likes men. Again that middle zone prominence – she will do whatever it takes. 5.) I don’t know the answer to this one. 6.) Low prominence of ascenders suggests either atheist or agnostic. 7.) I think she’d be happiest self employed. 8.) I don’t think she has a huge sex drive, but there are a couple of downward-slanting t bars, plus the loopy z and manipulative g’s and y’s that suggest she likes to be in control in the bedroom. I think this is part of a defence mechanism based on my answer to question 1. She finds it difficult to trust others. 9.) I’d suggest fear and sadness are her primary emotions. Look at the downward slope to her writing in both examples!
