Handwriting Analysis of Lindsay Lohan’s Printed Courtroom Notes

As all of you may know, Lindsay Lohan is back in trouble once again. She has violated her probation by failing to attend her alcohol education classes based on the schedule set by the judge.

Lindsay was just sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation in her DUI case, followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program.

Lohan must surrender on July 20 in Judge Revel’s court.

Lindsay at some point during her courtroom appearance held up some notes to block photographers from taking pictures of her. Well now, we have the picture in high resolution along with a detailed analysis from Bart Baggett. HANDWRITING ANALYSIS OF LINDSAY LOHAN
by Bart Baggett, President of Handwriting University.com

The photograph on this page is a photograph of a handwritten note held up by Lindsay Lohan at her arraignment recently when she was accused of missing an assignment or a parole violation.

Let me first say that I first analyzed Lindsay Lohan’s handwriting has changed over the last six years when she was an emerging teen star. She didn’t write like a bimbo teenager, but she didn’t write in all block printing.

Despite her youth and tendency to find trouble I did see a high level of intelligence in her handwriting, lots of fluidity of thinking – the ability to weave words and articulate things clearly. This trait is typical of radio hosts, actors, and writers. Despite her recent troubles I think that most people would agree that the movies she made as teenager were actually very, very well acted. This can be attributed to her high intelligence. But, intelligence does not always translate into good behavior or emotional stability.

But this article is not about her acting skills, it’s about it her personality. We specifically want to answer the questions of why does she keep getting in trouble?

I’m not sure that the handwriting sample seen on this page really give us many answers into her deep psyche. But, it does reveal a change since I last analyzed her writing many years ago.

I will say this, the handwriting shown on this page is not that of an erratic scattered drug addict. It is the handwriting of a focused individual; with a high degree of perfectionism. The straight baseline reveals an overall anxiety of things not going right , someone who loves order and structure.

Now this doesn’t sound like the Lindsay Lohan we think we know at all. Is this the girl who crashes cars, gets drunk every night and goes both ways?

This makes me question whether this is her handwriting or not… or perhaps she has experienced a profound change in herself over the last two years? And, according to a NY Times reporter who was in the courtroom, she watched her write it.

If it is indeed Lyndsay’s handwriting (printing) one have to assume that she’s made a profound recovery. She has learned the art of focus and discipline. She yearns for structure, privacy, and organization.

In graphology, anytime somebody consistently blocked prints it is seen as a huge (but common) defense mechanism. Often this is a positive defense mechanism such as extreme masculinity. I would say most individuals would find it difficult to distinguish between this handwriting, or the handwriting of a military strategist or perhaps even an engineer that clock prints everything.

Block printing is not the type of handwriting that we can get hundreds of different subtle personality traits. A deep analysis is best performed on longhand cursive handwriting, which might be going the way of the Abacus.

The one thing graphologist do agree on is that when someone only block prints – they don’t want people to know their most innermost thoughts and feelings – they are putting up a shield and protecting their intimacy.

Therefore you can bet she now has some major trust and privacy issues, has a guard up. Who would blame her for having guard up, considering everything that you write is published and everywhere you go someone is snapping a picture of you? I think I would become a block printer too.

Is this new found block printing style saying she has recovered or she now has deep trust issues and perhaps a new found anxiety disorder ?

I think we should investigate some of her known cursive handwriting to really get a better understanding of what’s going on in this girl’s mind. Cursive really gives us the skinny on the nature of a person. Block printing has many positive elements as negative. Ask Madonna, she hasn’t written cursive in public in years. She seems smart, tough, and yes… masculine… in the very positive CEO type of way.

Finally as a side note, I would like to point out that the tattoo on her left hand says SHH and it actually is her right hand and SHH is pointed outwards so it’s not really telling herself to shut up it’s telling other to shush, I think that’s kind of amusing. Go girl. Tell those Paparazzi to might their own business.

  1. I’d be surprised if that’s actually her writing and not the writing of her attorney. Throughout the text there are references to “LL” and ‘her’ in the third person. If Lindsay wrote it, surely she would write “I…”

On her fingernail in the hi-res pic you’ll notice a very different kind of printing (don’t go looking for it if your not a fan of harsh language). Certainly this style of writing is more typical for a ‘troubled girl’. Certainly more inclined to juvenile behaviour. Note that the ‘U’ used is different to that used on the paper too…

I couldn’t imagine that a reporter for the NY times would let the facts get in the way of a story!

  2. The Daily News editor told me she watched her write it. But, yes, it is very different than her previous handwriting samples.

  3. Obviously Lindsey has not recovered because her current antics seem to prove just the opposite; that she has regressed into a more childlike core center. Maybe that is why block printing is now her style and she can’t admit to herself that she has regressed. Bart said she has had a change from cursive to block.

Bart wrote, “In graphology, anytime somebody consistently blocked prints it is seen as a huge (but common) defense mechanism. , “I would say most individuals would find it difficult to distinguish between this handwriting, or the handwriting of a military strategist or perhaps even an engineer block prints writing.”
Well I met a male nurse who only block printed and remember the old thought (erroneous perhaps in many cases) that most male nurses are gay? According to what Bart has written above. “Often this is a positive defense mechanism such as extreme masculinity. ” I couldn’t determine from the males nurse’s blck printing that he was indeed gay. I took it to mean that he was shielding himself from all the nasty things he saw and procedures he had to do as a nurse. I didn’t care one iota if he was gay or not.
